Monthly “News” Reviews and Opinions

Our Mission and History:

The Mission of the “Paneling” project is to provide a platform for creative commentary on the subjective nature of the overall media and communication systems.  This means, “Be careful of what you read,” or “why am I receiving this information?” are things to always keep in mind.  Faux outrage, unsubstantiated claims and crazy opinions written in a manner that is obviously phony, yet expressed in familiar way, are welcome here.  “International Paneling” also hopes to offer perspectives from writers around the world; sort of, “Scene Reports” from our home bases.  It’s fast, tongue-in-cheek, yet conversational stuff meant to entertain and inform.

Why “Paneling?”

Paneling refers to a type of wood grain wall covering hat was very popular in the Americas in the 1970s.  Paneling was a fast way to make a living room or office inviting.  But the composite wood material held a secret: It was cheap.  It was fake.  And it was witness to all sorts of happenings within its walls.  Akin to the Chorus in Greek theater, the Paneling was a passive observer.  And that is our goal at International Paneling: to watch, experience, report and comment on the happenings of the day.  No direct judgements or hardcore opinions.  We absorb, then we share.  We are a type of paneling reacting to our world.
